Phi Kappa Psi

Minnesota Delta

The American Leadership Academy is a series of training seminars held at Marbella Suites en la Playa, in Cabo San Lucas, during Spring Break. The trip is all-inclusive and all expenses paid excluding airfare to Mexico. Every day prominent speakers from the business world come to teach leadership, business, ethics and many other topics. Speakers usually include Brother Don Fites, retired CEO of Caterpillar, Brother Scott Noble, CEO of Noble Royalties, Brother Gregg Wittstock CEO of Aquascape, executives of Morgan Stanley, Solomon Smith and Barney, Brother Jerry Nelson founder of Pinnacle Paradise, Ticketmaster, and Troon Golf.

After the daily seminar, spring break MADNESS begins. Brothers are free to enjoy downtown Cabo where we have CIP entrance and rooms at the most exclusive clubs, bars, and night life Mexico has to over. Or, you can stay at the resort and enjoy snorkeling, surfing, private beach, and the Phi Psi favorite: Cocktails at the “Office.”

"Cabo San Lucas provides undergraduates with a lot more than a tropical spring break. In Cabo you will meet anyone from a Fortune 500 CEO, a National VP of Sales, a new alum on the fast track to success, to brothers from everywhere in the nation. So what do you leave Cabo with besides a great tan and stories beyond your wildest dreams, you may ask? Something a million times more valuable. Friendships and connections with CEOs of successful companies. After listening to daily presentations from their success stories, you will leave with the hunger and necessary tools to get to the top. When you think of Cabo, think of a life lesson and vacation of a lifetime rolled into one."

Cabo Alpha

First and foremost, every active member of Phi Kappa Psi is a student. This fraternity strides for excellence in academics. Our chapter continually matches or bests the average student body GPA! This farenity greatly rewards its brothers that achieve academically. On the national level we have more then $40 million dollars in our Endowment Fund.

The Endowment Fund of Phi Kappa Psi was formed to aid, encourage, promote, and contribute to the education and scholastic attainments of Phi Psis across the nation.

The fund was started in 1914 and is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit, educational foundation. As such, the Endowment Fund is the only charitable arm of Phi Psi entitling donors to a full tax deduction.

The endowment fund provides funds for the fraternity through a variety of programs and services that directly affect undergraduates and their chapters. Right now Phi Kappa Psi is the richest fraternity in the United States with close to 40 million dollars in our Endowment Fund. This allows us to grant scholarships to brothers in financial need every semester. With over $35,000 in our own Colorado Phi Psi Endowment Fund, we will be able to grant several scholarships this year to pay for brothers dues that need financial assistance. Ask our Scholarship Chairman about opportunities for pledge scholarships.

Scholarship

From the day Phi Kappa Psi was formed in Pennsylvania 1852 we have strived to reach out to the community at large. Coincidentally the fraternity was founded by two college students. The two college students answered the communities call for help on a snowy day during a health epidemic. The two founders, William Henry Letterman and Charles Page Thomas Moore, were the only persons to assist the community.

We take philanthropy seriously and strive to as a chapter clock in 150 hours minimum each semester. We do this varies different ways: highway clean way, boys and girls club, tricker canning, soup kitchens, freshmen move in, hosting campus events.
